All,
Got the notification that I passed the exam! Took the exam in Boston
on Feb 20, so the results came quickly. I want to thank Clement and the
rest that contributed to the questions that I put to the group. It was
very helpful to be able to get the opinion of such a learned group
especially since I didn't have the benefit of taking a prep class. I'm in
the process of launching a security consulting practice, and this
accreditation will definitely help. I'll stay connected and continue to
contribute.
I just received my congratulations email a few minutes ago and i am soooo
happy about passing. I just wanted to thank everyone that participates in
the study group. It has helped me tremendously to pass this exam, i intend
on continuing to participate in this group so that i can help others. Below
is a link that has more details of how i felt about the exam.

Question...Would the endorsement process go faster if i find someone to
endorse me or if i let ISC2 endorse me. Currently i don't know anyone with
this Cert so i don't think i have a choice.
Hi All,

I thought "someone" had to endorse you to get fully CISSP certified? You
know, someone that said you have 3 years of experience in security.
Otherwise, you got a cert that you were CISSP-associate level. In my case,
I want to get the CISSP but the people that could endorse me from when I
worked with the DoD have all been RIF'd. So, with no one to back up the
fact that I worked Security for 3 years, once I pass (hopefully) the CISSP
it would be at the associate level I would be certified.

Is this true?

Any and all comments welcome. Thanks in advance.

Leif
Thanks for your comments. I have another question for ya'll..In ISC2 book
crypto chapter has the following question:
Cryptography supports all of the core principles of
information?security?except:
a. Availabilityb. Confidentialityc. Integrityd. Authenticity
The book answer is d.
But I think this is a typo... correct answer should be ?a.
Confidentiality is provided through encryption..Integrity is provided
through hashing..Authenticity?is provided through digital signatures..
Any comments?
Good day,

YES, there are new items regularly added to the CBK.

When it is major they document it in the Candidate Information Bulletin
(which they refer to as the study guide)

I always use the ISC2 book as the checklist of what could be on the exam

Thanks for highlighting the new topics
